Take up trade issues with Latam-Caribbean countries
The World Trade Organization (WTO) will conduct a Trade Policy Review (TPR) with regard to Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) countries from March 7 to June 28, 2012 under the Trade Policy Review Mechanism (TPRM). During the review, WTO member countries may raise questions and concerns on different aspects of policies and practices of the countries under review. Issues such as economic environment, trade policy objectives, formulation and implementation, trade agreements and arrangements with respect to WTO and Regional Trade Agreements, investment regime, trade policy measures directly affecting imports, trade policy measures directly affecting exports, measures affecting production and trade and trade policy developments in important sectors would be under review. Readers of The FISME Factor may furnish issues, suggestions and inputs on the above subjects for taking up with the respective countries.
