FISME: The organization
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) form the backbone of Indian economy. FISME is the chief representative body of MSMEs in India and is a not-for-profit organization. Besides, working towards safeguarding the interests of MSMEs, it endevaours inducing reforms in regulatory and promotional environment. It is therefore continuously engaged in research, bringing out policy and position papers and organization of campaigns. Many of these activities are sponsored by international development agencies such as UN agencies like World Bank, UNCTAD, UNIDO, ILO etc and bilateral agencies such as DFID and GTZ etc.

Required Profile of Candidates:
a. Post Graduates ( preferably in commerce/ economics but open to candidates from other streams as well)
b. Interest in exploring more fulfilling career options seeking to create larger impact on society;
c. A demonstrated above average capabilities in communication and understanding of economic and trade issues

Job profile:
a. Preparation of policy briefs and papers on contemporary trade and business issues involving moderate research
b. Coordination and execution of research and development projects through internal and/ or external experts

Designation:
Research Associate: fresh candidates
Project Coordinator: at least two years experience in similar capacities

Compensation:
We cannot compete with corporate sector in salaries but students are compensated well as working with FISME on MSME issues opens up huge career opportunities in international donor agencies such as World Bank, UN Agencies, DFID, GTZ etc. We offer CTC from 1.5 to 2.5 Lac PA to the Research Associates. A higher start could still be considered in exceptional cases. We could absorb a couple of candidates immediately.
