DESIDOC has been functioning as a central information resource for DRDO and it provides S&T information, based on its library and other information resources, to the DRDO headquarters, and its various laboratories at various places in India.

FISME-IPFC had specially designed the training programme keeping in mind the activities of DESIDOC concentrating more on copyright. As libraries are increasingly getting digital in today’s world with use of IT and internet playing a vital role in access to information, legal issues mainly relating to Copyright are set to have a greater bearing on how information is acquired/ accessed, stored, copied and used in libraries. The symposium focused on the practical issues and proposed solutions thereof.

FISME-IPFC is one of the three IPFCs set up by FISME with assistance from Office of DC,MSME (Ministry of MSME) in Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad.   The IPFCs provide a range of IPR related services to MSMEs in identification, protection and exchange of IPRs.
