FISME Bangalore going all out to promote GIM 2012

As one of the partner organisations of the Karnataka government for promoting and organising the Global Investors Meet 2012 (GIM 2012) to be held on June 6 to 8, 2012, in the outskirts of the state capital, the Bangalore office of FISME has turned into a beehive of activity.

FISME representatives led by senior Central Executive Committee member and past President Mr Mohan Suresh and members of the Bangalore secretariat are actively participating in organising road shows and meetings to promote the event.

So far, road shows have been conducted in Singapore, South Africa, Japan and Taiwan. All these countries along with Germany and the USA have consented to participate in various fields of the global investors meet. 

FISME representatives have also participated in a series of meetings held at Udyog Mitra involving the Karnataka Industries Minister, Chief Secretary, Government of Karnataka, Advisor to the Chief Minister, the Commissioner of MSMEs, associate, knowledge and event partners as well as industry Federations and Associations who are supportive organizations for the GIM Expo 2012. 

GIM Expo 2012 will cover a wide spectrum of Industries as its focus areas - Infrastructure, Aerospace & Defence, Automobiles, Biotechnology, Education, Energy& Environment, Agro-tech and Food processing,  Agriculture, Health, ICT, Electronics & Hardware Tourism and Hospitality, just to name a few.

The Expo is expected to attract over 600 exhibitors, 10,000 delegates and over 1 lakh business visitors. Some 400 stalls are being offered to MSMEs at subsidised rates. All the partner federations and associations have been offered free stalls at a designated pavilion at government cost.

Most of the States across India have consented to participate in the GIM Expo 2012.

Honourable Chief Minister Shri D.V.Sadananda Gowda in a special Message welcoming the event has said “Karnataka has an eco-system that is conducive for industry and businesses and it has emerged as a hub for information technology, Biotechnology, Aerospace, Electronics etc.” He also said that although the Expo is being organised under the auspices of the Karnataka government, its success critically depended on the efforts made by all the supportive Associations and Federations such as FISME, BCIC, KASSIA, FKCCI and NSIC etc.

The Karnataka minister for large and medium scale industries Shri Murugesh R. Nirani has said in his message that “Global Investors Meet (GIM) 2012 is a sought-after international event that will shape the future of many organisations. GIM Expo 2012 is an integral part of the Global Investors Meet and will be a platform for all those organisations that have the capacity to invest in the state, establish a business, explore public-private partnerships, source materials, show case an idea or innovation and look for financers and investors for growth prospects.” He has requested all MSMEs and other organisations to actively participate in the Expo and achieve their business goals.

Global Investors Meet is a single platform which will enable Showcasing of Technology and Services, Partnership Meets, Buyer-Seller Meets, Vendor Identification and Development, Business Networking, Business Expansion and Investment & Funding.
